Luka

My first born Luka turned 7 years old last week, he arrived to this world on the 19th March he was just perfect with the biggest set of green eyes and big hair lots of it. he was the poster child to have twenty kids he was like the textbook so I didn't need a text book he slept he ate he slept and slept and ate and ate....

The last seven years have gone so quickly and yet so many things have change we lived in our city apartment we added more munchkins to the family we moved to the whitecottage.

I can't believe my first born is already seven he is like my gentle giant he is very reserve until he gets to know you well he does not like being the centre of attention he knows so many things and it's quite clever but he gets embarrassed quite easily, he has lots of friends and enjoys school and life in general just like any other seven years old. 

While on holidays last week the rest of our family were having a midday nap, Luka was playing outside our bungalow  I could not see him through the palm trees I asked him what was he doing he replied that he was exploring would I like to join him so I did.

We explored and walked around the resort Luka talked about the plants and flowers he told me he had seen a creek at the end of the resort and we should go and check it out.

I saw the plants and the flowers but what I mostly saw was my gorgeous boy who was so confident and happy telling me all the things he knew  and the thoughts he had, he mentioned he loves exploring so we did and this is what we found.

 

A Birthday Surprise

Late last week it was our eldest munchkin's birthday, he turned 7 years old, we asked him if he had thought of a theme for his birthday party, he replied that he didn't want a birthday party he just wanted to have a party with us and us only, I spent weeks trying to convince him to have a celebration I had suggestions like

Me: let's have a party in the park
Munchkin: Nooo
Me: let's invite 10 friends to Freestyles tout
Munchkin: Noooo.... I want a party just with the 5 of us

So with that it was decided it was going to be a party of five then we had the great idea to surprise him on a mini staycation. The day had arrived he woke up like any other morning when we said we were going on a holiday right now he appeared a bit confused and was worried that he had a talk that day at school and was going to miss out on his talk time, after explaining that I had spoken to his fabulous grade 2 teacher and she had assured me that he could do his talk when he got back from the holiday.

We were on our way to Bargara Beach to have a birthday party. I must say it was such a laid back party, just the five of us, Master munchkin kept thanking us for a great birthday party he told us this was the best birthday party he has ever had and that he loved the weather, my heart melted to see him so happy and so grateful for the party the way he wanted it with the food and drinks he requested.

and this was one of the best birthday parties we have had.

Those who wait good things come - My Pom Pom clutch

At the start of the week I received a wonderful package in the mail. I was so excited when the postman knocked on the door because one I had a parcel and two it was not a bill.

I was not expecting anything in the mail so I jumped like a school girl when I opened the parcel and found out it was a belated birthday present from my wonderful friend Sarah from sfh_design.

The thing is that I wanted this pom pom clutch purse since I saw it and was hoping Santa would bring it for me (read here) but I think Santa ran out of time and forgot to get it.

Now I am the proud owner of my wonderful Pom Pom Clutch purse, so I decided to use it every single day this week and what fun my Pom Pom clutch purse and I had.

 That same day I had to volunteer at the school so it was perfect with my black pants and wedges.

 

 I met with my favourite English roses for a morning tea

 

 while I waited for the munchkins to come out from school a mum asked me about the clutch thank goodness Sarah placed a card inside the clutch

 

 I met with my fabulous fashionista friend Selina for Lunch at Double Shot where the people are beautiful and fabulous so I was right at home with my new clutch

and dessert was served and that was my week, Farmer Joe and I are going out for an early dinner so you guess it I am taking my new accessory because I am like a kid with a new toy.
